I developed an interest in 2010 and made the Rose City fresh meat program in November of 2012 and have been completely immersed in derby since. After years playing and developing my skills I tried out for the travel team in 2015. Our team was first place at both Playoffs and Champs. 2016 was a repeat of the previous year with the added bonus of winning the Championship Tournament MVP. 2017 was a bit of a shake up with me moving to Denver and joining DRD’s Mile High Club. Im really proud of how far our team came this year and I can’t wait to see what MHC brings to the track in 2018!
Freight Train started with Houston Roller Derby in 2011 and is now skating her fourth season for the Texas Rollergirls. Though an very versatile player, she has been jamming the majority of her derby career. She began coaching in 2014 and she has been periodically training other leagues and popping up at different derby events across the U.S., Canada, and Australia. She's been playing derby for 7 seasons and has spent them working up the derby ranks to be the best player she can. Her skating background is primarily rhythm/jam skating and has been consistently doing it for over 25 years.
Furrrocious excels at giving personal feedback to individual skaters and on group level. She breaks down skills and strategies so even the beginner skater will understand, while presenting the most current material. In her 8th year with the Amsterdam Roller Derby, Furrr has been involved in all aspects of the game. She was a coach and line up manager for the Dutch National Men’s Team, Furr was a captain for Team Netherlands at the women’s Roller Derby World Cup in Dallas 2014 and the upcoming World Cup in Manchester in 2018.
Kid Block is tall. Kid Block loves roller derby and side ponies more than anything else in the world. Kid Block will only wear her side pony to the right hand side (crowd side of course). Kid Block loves to coach but hasn't for a long time and that makes her sad. Kid Block has lots of ideas, tips and tricks bubbling away inside her skate shaped brain and they need to get out. Kid Block thinks EuroDerbyCon is the best derby event that Europe has ever seen!
Lady Trample is returning to EuroDerbyCon but this year she’ll be taking to the track and the Ramps to coach her unique jamming skills and park skating. First appearing on the derby scene in 2012 debuting with PCR, since then she’s been honing her jamming style and adapting to the modern blocking style within this wacky sport. Since 2013 she’s been switching between Ramps and building a park skating community through Chicks in Bowls. Most recently Trample transferred to VRDL and joined the jammer line up competing at Playoffs and Champs with the VRDL All Stars in 2016 and taking out a Hydra win in 2017.
My name is Lil´Slinky and I skate for Stockholm Roller Derby Allstars, Team Sweden Roller Derby and for its the most fun thing. I have since I was smaller loved action and adrenaline, jackass was my favourite tv show, no competitors. My skate style and training style comes alot from that type of things, stupid, fun and curious. My coaching goes in the same theme, put that curious action to work.
In a derby context, Maurine is a jammer on the Stockholm Roller Derby Allstars, a coach, an official, and a board member of the Swedish national skating association, as well as having over 20 years of experience in sports. For a day job, she is a practicing psychologist, with specific interest in sports- and performance psychology. She is excited to join EDC once again, and can't wait to share her thoughts with you, and to hear your stories!
A member of Rainy City All Stars & England Roller Derby, with coaching experience at various bootcamps and team trainings across Europe from beginner to advanced levels. I like to bring my background in artistic skating into roller derby. I enjoy creating drills that breakdown the specific footwork and body movement required for all levels of strategy, and like to focus on both offence and defence. My focus is looking at how individual skaters move differently and help them create awareness of how to nail the move.
